Just occasionally you get lucky. My camera was set up with my 105mm macro lens on a tripod to take a picture of the Ladys Smock when the Orange Tip Butterfly arrived.

Three images of spring
Just three to be going on with. Despite this being my favourite time of year, club duties and holiday preparations have stopped me getting to the woods as much as I would like. Still, the late start to spring should me there will still be plenty left to shoot when I get back from Scotland.

Stained Glass Zooms
Some appropriate images for a Sunday. These were taken in the chapel at Wimpole last weekend. I set up the camera to frame the whole window for a 2-3 second exposure and zoomed in for the last second or so.

Pebbles On A Beach
Hopefully I will have a little more free time soon to update more regularly. For the moment here are a few more images taken at Easter over in Ireland. We went for a walk along the beach at Brittas Bay and I was taken by all the colourful pebbles lying amongst the sand.

Two from Saturday
Two pictures that sum up my Saturday.
The first from Cambridge Camera Club's annual print competition. This took up most of my day, since I was involved in organising it.
The second from Hayley Wood, where I stopped off for an hour on my way home.

Easter, Ireland, Boats
I was over in Ireland for Easter, for a long overdue visit to friends. The weather was largely good and we were able to indulge one of my favourite activities, strolling along the coastline seeing the sights. Dun Laoghaire is a new favourite spot to go and watch the sailing, and was responsible for the first 2 images. A beautiful Easter morning on Bray sea front got the third.
