Welsh Water

I am playing catch-up on some unprocessed images. These were taken on a Scrambling trip to Snowdonia, that saw some very mixed weather. There was rain when we were on the hills and sun as soon as we had finished. The only images I managed to get were of a waterfall a short walk from Ogwen Cottage, concentrating on details of the water on rock.

Last Sunday I spent a very pleasant day at Kew Gardens with some other members of the Travel & Nature Group. The weather was lovely and I took many pictures both inside the glass houses and outside. Here are a selection of images from the Palm and Lilly Houses.

Camden Shop Fronts

Recently, I spent the day in Camden. The original intention was to do some street photography. Unfortunately I didn't get any street candids that I liked. However, I did spent quite bit of time photographing the colourful and imaginative shop fronts that are such a feature of Camden High Steet.

Abbey-Horizons, Evening Light

I seem to have had very little time for photography recently. In fact my only proper trip out with the camera was two weeks ago on another of the Cambridge photo evenings with the Abbey-Horizons group. With the nights drawing in, the theme of this outing was low-light and night photography. As should be clear from the blog by now, this is a real passion of mine. However, it wasn't one of my better night and I only managed a few images that I was happy with.

Borough Market

A few pictures from a recent afternoon spent at Borough Market in London. For those who don't know it, this is a very busy and colourful food market, that is very popular with photographers. However, it is also very challenging to get decent photos there. The location means that many of the stalls have little natural light. Plus at the weekends it really does get incredibly busy! Still I managed a few shots that I liked.
