Wainwright Bagging Again

I was back in the Lake District last weekend adding to my Wainwright count (116, since you ask). This was only my second trip to the Lakes this year, so I was pleased to be blessed with good weather. There is nothing worse than taking a heavy camera (1.3kg, since you ask) for a 13 mile walk and not getting it out the bag.

The trig point on top of Helvellyn.

Easdale Tarn from Blea Rigg.

We saw this tree growing out of a rock on the way back to Grassmere from Tarn Crag. I was delighted to see a tiny sketch of it included in one of the painstakingly detailed maps in Book 3 of Wainwright's Pictorial Guide to Lakeland Fells (Tarn Crag 6).
