Evening Visit to the Botanical Gardens

Last Wednesday saw another photography evening for the Abbey-Horizons group. This time we chose to go to a late night opening of the Botanical Gardens. The weather wasn't really on our side. It was decidedly dull and grey, and no sooner had I arrived than it started to rain. We all sought shelter in the glasshouses, and I then spent most of the evening in just one part of the first one, concentrating of macro shots. Towards closing time, the sun broke through the clouds, so I ventured outside (although still not far).

There was a loose panel theme of 'past its best' that I managed to find 5 images for, to varying degrees of success. However, as usual, I will save those until after the next Abbey-Horizons meeting. In the meantime here are a few of the off-topic shots I took.
