Last Wednesday I took the afternoon off and joined other CCC members for a visit to Ely Cathedral. I opted to go on the tower tour that gave excellent views from the Octagon and the roof. Fortunately, the rain, that had been coming down hard less than an hour earlier, stopped in time for the tour.

May Bumps
After having spent an enjoyable day watching the Lent Bumps back in March, I thought I would spend Saturday watching the final day of the Mays. Despite the odd brief shower, conditions were mainly bright and sunny. This did make it tricky to get slow enough shutter speeds for decent panning shots. But the great thing about digital is that you can take hundreds of shots and until you get something you like.

City Patterns
Another set of images from last Saturday in London. As well as spending time around St Paul's, I also took a stroll through the City looking for abstract and pattern shots.

Street Photography at St Paul's
Another weekend, another trip into London. On Saturday I visited the London Street Photography exhibition at the Museum of London. This is an excellent free exhibition showing a history of street photography in the capital. It is well worth a visit if you are in the area. I was particularly taken by the Charing Cross photos of Wolf Suschitzky.
Suitably inspired, I went off to try a little street photography of my own around nearby St Paul's Cathedral.
