My only concerns were that the fog might not be as strong in Granchester or that it might not last until I got there. So to play safe, I decided to get a few shots by the river in St Neots first, before moving on to somewhere more interesting. However, it turned out that my safety stop gave me all I wanted. Some great trees, swans and rowers on the river. I spent the whole morning getting shots there and didn't bother with Granchester. So the lesson is, never ignore your local patch.

A Foggy Morning In St Neots
Last Saturday I woke to a beautiful foggy morning. Perfect photography conditions. But where to go to take best advantage? I decided Granchester might be a good bet. The meadows would have interesting trees and there might be some activity on the river. Then I could work my way down into the centre of Cambridge.
